The Campaign for SOC: Communication Leadership for a New Era

The School of Communication at American University is a national leader in communication education, professional innovation, and scholarship. Our faculty, students, and alumni comprise a group of renowned innovators in journalism, public communication, and film and media arts, including winners of Pulitzer Prizes, Academy Awards®, Emmy® Awards, and PR News' PR Agency Professional of the Year. A new home will bring SOC to the same level of distinction as its campus peersâ??each of which has its own, dedicated building. Restoring McKinley for SOC will align its facilities with its nationally recognized academic and professional programs, faculty and staff, award-winning research centers and institutes, leading-edge technology, and high-profile industry events.
